California White Sage is a family owned business that is located in San Diego. They have been growing white sage for over a decade.

Their fields range along the coastal region of San Diego County and in Baja California, Mexico. All their white sage comes from cultivated fields.  *They do not harvest wild white sage on public lands. California White Sage Company grows and produces white sage sustainably.

*Wild harvesting of white sage for commercial profits has lead to rapid decline of this species on public land.  Indigenous people have always respectfully used wild sage for sacred rituals.  Over-harvesting wild sage on public land not only decrease bio-diversity in the region, it also harms indigenous people's culture.

HOW TO USE: light one end and direct the smoke from the burning White sage stick to area that needs to be cleansed.

ORIGIN:

Historically, the smudging of white sage was done in ceremonies or rituals by Native American cultures to get rid of any unwanted persisting energies, to ask the spirits for blessings, prosperity, protection and more.

When using white sage smudge sticks, please be mindful and respectful of the indigenous people's history.
